The Stardust Wanderer
Primordial Genesis

“Before the counting of years, a being made only of stardust traversed through the cosmos… a witness to the fiery birth of suns and the quiet death of countless worlds.”

📜 The Scholar’s Note

This is the most widespread creation myth shared across the cultures of Kemet regarding how the planet was formed.

While secular researchers view “The Wanderer” as a colorful metaphor for early planetary formation, theological sects revere it as literal history.

Player Tip: Your character would likely know this story as a childhood fable. How your character interprets it and whether they view the world as divine, scientific, or entirely indifferent, is entirely up to you.

I. The Stardust Wanderer

Legends speak of a massive entity that drifted through space long before the counting of conventional years. It was made out of nothing but stardust and cosmic light. For ages, it remained in the empty universe like a silent witness to stars igniting and planets falling apart. But a being of that scale still has a shelf life, and time comes for everything eventually. The celestial power holding its form together began to fray, and it quickly realized its consciousness was about to completely dissolve into the dark void.

II. The Final Coalescence

It refused to vanish without a fight. Right at the end, it used a final, concentrated act of will to force all of its remaining energy and physical matter inward. Everything it had ever been collapsed down into a single, tiny point. It forged this little anchor as a direct, defiant answer to its own death, leaving it behind as a concentrated seed for a new creation to start blooming from.

III. Birth of the Soil

Right after that flash of energy, raw minerals and elements slammed together and spun out into a fiercely hot, molten globe. It took a couple millennia, but the planet’s crust finally cooled down and cracked open, systematically splitting apart into two major continents. Centuries of torrential rain condensed out of the atmosphere to fill up the low spots, and that is exactly how the deep oceans were carved out. The entity’s original essence did not vanish during the chaos. It stayed trapped deep inside the core of the planet, running through the stone like lifeblood.

IV. The Awakening of Life

Early life started stirring in the shallow tides and thermal pools. Organisms naturally gathered in those specific spots because pockets of that ancient power were bubbling up closest to the surface. After generations of exposure to the shimmering water, their growth accelerated rapidly. This pushed organic life into more advanced, complex forms until the first peoples finally walked the land. Over tens of thousands of years, societies took root and grand cities showed up on the horizon, creating a network of trade, culture, and shared history across the map.

V. The Modern Age

Today, the people who live here call the world Kemet, but they mostly treat those old stories as ancient allegories. To the average merchant, farmer, or city guard, the ground under their boots is regular dirt and stone. But the innate energy is still there in the dirt. Sometimes an arcane scholar figures out how to harness it, or an explorer locates a piece of it while investigating a cave, but either way, the legacy of the entity is still spread across the world.
