The Stardust Wanderer
Primordial Genesis

“Before the counting of years, a being made only of stardust traversed through the cosmos… a witness to the fiery birth of suns and the quiet death of countless worlds.”

📜 The Scholar’s Note

This is the most widespread creation myth shared across the cultures of Kemet regarding how the planet was formed.

While secular researchers view “The Wanderer” as a colorful metaphor for early planetary formation, theological sects revere it as literal history.

Player Tip: Your character would likely know this story as a childhood fable. How your character interprets it and whether they view the world as divine, scientific, or entirely indifferent, is entirely up to you.

I. The Stardust Wanderer

Before the counting of years, legends speak of a colossal entity woven entirely from stardust and cosmic light that drifted through the quiet expanse of the universe. It existed as a silent witness to the cosmos, watching the birth and death of stars and planets. Yet, even for a being of such vast scale, time eventually came for it too. Slowly, the threads of raw celestial power holding its massive form together began to fray, threatening to dissolve its consciousness into the dark void.

II. The Final Coalescence

Facing its ultimate unraveling, the entity refused to simply vanish. In a final, concentrated act of will, it drew every remaining vestige of its energy, and physical matter inward and collapsed all that it had ever been into a single, small point. This anchor was forged as a defiant answer to its own end, a concentrated seed from which a new creation could bloom.

III. Birth of the Soil

From that flash of sacrifice, raw minerals and primordial elements slammed together, spinning out into a fiercely hot, molten globe. Over millennia, the planet’s crust cooled and cracked, parting into the two great continents. Thick moisture condensed into and atmosphere and torrential rain for centuries, carving out the boundaries of the deep oceans. The entity’s residual essence did not disappear, however. It coursed through the very core of the planet like lifeblood powering the world.

IV. The Awakening of Life

Early life first stirred within the shallow tides and thermal pools, congregating naturally where pockets of this ancient power bubbled closest to the surface. Generations of exposure to these shimmering, localized fonts accelerated growth, coaxing organic life into increasingly advanced, complex forms. Tens of thousands of years later, the first peoples walked the land. Societies took root, grand cities took shape on the horizon, and a complex network of trade, culture, and shared history wove itself across the geography.

V. The Modern Age

Today, the diverse peoples who call this world Kemet treat these tales as beautiful, ancient allegories. To the average merchant, farmer, or city guard, the ground beneath their boots is simply dirt and stone. Yet, the inate energy remains. Whether it is harnessed by bold arcane scholars or uncovered by curious explorers, the legacy of The Wanderer continues to be shared across the world.
